Job Description / Primary Objective
The position provides opportunities to be a leader in the award-winning planning, urban design and landscape departments and be a project manager for a wide range of exciting projects, including TODs, specific plans, planning and design for mass transit and transportation projects, master plans, design standards/guidelines, campus projects, revitalization plans, streetscape projects, and community plans for both public and private sectors.
Position requires experience/expertise in:• Hands-on project management of a small staff• Day-to-Day Administration including invoicing, contracts and office management• Business development in California and proposal writing• Land use/urban planning/design• Strong physical design and policy planning• Excellent writing and communication skills• Innovative outreach and consensus building- Active Transportation
Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, etc.)
A Masters degree in Planning or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in planning/urban design is required, with at least 4 years at a private consulting firm.
