Job Description - RN Charge Nurse/Shift Coordinator - Neuroscience Unit (230002VT)

NeuroScience Unit (NSU):

is an 18-bed monitored unit providing family-centered nursing care to patients of all ages with Neurology and Neurosurgery problems, including, but not limited to:Video Electroencephalography (VEEG) monitoringNeurologic traumaAll nursing practice is based on legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Shift Coordinator directs the activities of and/or participates as a member of the patient care delivery team. In collaboration with unit leadership, participates in planning, managing, and evaluating unit-based clinical care to ensure continuity of care.Qualifications

Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree (Required)Minimum Work Experience2 years Nursing experience (Required)1 year Recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting (Required)Required Skills/KnowledgeThe Shift Coordinator will successfully complete the hospital and nursing orientation at CNMC.Required Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse in District of Columbia.Functional Accountabilities
