At Plante Moran, we have the privilege of serving clients and providing consultative services as they face challenges and seek new opportunities.Your role.Your work will include, but not be limited to:Assisting multiple clients with their accounting and finance functions including financial close reporting and related support, on a recurring monthly basis.Coordinate and provide outsourced accounting services to clients by following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or other basis of accounting.Create and maintain records of client financial transactions using technology including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Fathom.Manage reconciliation of accounts and month-end close processesAssist with special projects and resolution of client issues.Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.Provide support for audits by external entities and tax returns preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested.Drafting financial reports, including annual financial statements and related disclosuresDevelopment of accounting and finance tools/templates for use on future client engagementsCompiling and analyzing financial informationCollaborating with other consultants and clients for continuous improvement recommendationsProfessional development of team membersRelationship buildingThe qualifications.Experience working with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel, and Bill.com is preferred, overall technical savvy with accounting software programs is required.Accounting skills necessary to generate, prepare and review general ledger, journal entries, records in accordance with GAAP, etc.Ability to identify variances and research questions regarding financial activity and to improve accounting processes & proceduresPromote positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firmStrong interpersonal and communication skills requiredDemonstrated ability to plan and execute own work on time and within budgetAbility to work in the office as well as remotely (hybrid)Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA preferred3+ years of accounting experience
