This is mostly sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Job Summary The successful candidate will prepare and prosecute felony and misdemeanor cases in district and circuit courts, including pre-trial motions through the conclusion of the appellate process. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary along with the ability to comfortably exercise discretion in carrying out assigned duties. Essential Job Functions An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
Prepare cases for prosecution Interview witnesses Interact with members of the public Advise law enforcement officers Prosecute criminal charges in a courtroom setting Research legal issues Prepare legal briefs and motions Skills
Attention to detail Familiarity with legal research and writing Excellent written and oral communication skills Abilities
