About You And The Role

As Ample's Operations Manager you will be responsible for developing a team and creating processes that will be the foundations of a quickly growing operations organization. You will solve complex challenges that enable Ample to move into our next phase of energy delivery - these solutions will require thoughtfulness, creativity, and a drive to innovate. Your work will be directly impacting operations strategy, process improvement, and most importantly delivery of an excellent customer experience. You are goal oriented, data driven, and operate with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

Be the owner of keeping Ample's service up and running in your territory, including maintenance of battery swapping stations and service of electric vehiclesStrong attention to detail and day-to-day operations; managing escalations, supplying regular status updates to leadership and advocating for the team's needs for successLead and grow a nimble and hands-on operations team of self starters, eager to learn and creatively problem solveManage the schedule and needs of a network of battery swapping stations and electric vehicles, maintaining an excellent level of customer serviceAct as an operational counterpart to local fleet customers to address issues and coordinate programsTrack operational metrics on a daily basis and empower teams to meet ambitious growth goalsIdentify operational gaps and create and improve processes to address key challengesPromote a culture of accountability and results through effective training and performance management

Requirements

BA/BS in technical field, or business field with relevant technical experience8+ years of experience in leading diverse, high-growth technical operations teams, managing field service/maintenance operations and technical escalation processesDemonstrated experience growing teams from small, scrappy operations to sophisticated organizationsAbility to understand complex technical products, including areas such as robotics and batteries (hardware and software - technical background is a plus)Hands-on approach to management, no hesitation to jump in and get things doneProven track record of operating independently with minimal supervisionPassion for solving ambiguous problems and building organizations for the futureA continuous improvement approach, adapting quickly and acting with a strong sense of urgencyOutstanding organization and verbal and written communication skillsTech-savvy attitude towards web tools (Google Suite, Atlassian Suite, Airtable, etc)
