POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' Assistant Project Accountant performs a wide variety of accounting tasks and administrative support to assist the Project Accountants. The role will require helping the office staff with specific assignments, as needed.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Miscellaneous invoices processingScan, code, and enter miscellaneous invoices for paymentPrepare American Express and Visa expense reportsProcess credit cardsEnter workflow and submit for approval to designated project accountant, project team, and departmentsAssist in monthly owner billingPrepare monthly owner billing backup, as neededSet up and maintain electronic job files, if requiredAssist with project closeout proceduresCollect and submit insurance certificates for Ebix reviewAddress contract compliance discrepancies by generating and analyzing non-compliance reportsPerform other duties as assigned
Education And Work Experience
Two (2) years of accounting experience in construction are requiredA strong work ethic with an emphasis on attention to detailsWillingness to be a team player with a client service attitudeMust be detail-oriented, able to multitask and problem solve and follow through to resolutionMust have the ability to work in a high-volume, heavy deadline-driven environmentMust demonstrate experience performing functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervisionShould have the ability to develop and maintain a positive effective working relationship with subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, and managersMust be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
