While we are a remote-first, U.S.-based company supporting employees in over 30 states with our team striving to share knowledge, celebrate accomplishments, think creatively, and have fun along the way, this position is eligible for employment in the following states: Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Who you are:

(Required) You have worked for at least 3 years in software development, having worked as part of a software development team(Required) Experience working in React or relevant frontend technologies(Required) Expert level of experience working in Python or relevant backend technologiesYou are comfortable working in a highly agile, iterative software development processYou can work independently to drive outcomes and build solutions, but also thrive in an inclusive team environment, flexibly and consistently leveraging communication and collaboration skillsYou have intermediate familiarity with Kafka, complementing your backend development skills.You exhibit a strong command of MySQL, leveraging it effectively in database management.You are acquainted with Java, ElasticSearch, GraphQL, and Docker, broadening your technical toolkit.You prioritize user experience, championing solutions that cater to user needs above all else.You relish the challenge of solving complex problems with far-reaching implications, carefully weighing tradeoffs.You possess a deep-seated passion for continuous learning and enjoy mentoring others in their professional growth.

How you'll contribute to the team:

EverTrue is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, which is an essential part of the business. In addition to contributing to the software, architecture, and design, the Senior Software Engineer supports and mentors engineers on the team. This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

What you'll do:

You will collaborate with a cross-functional scrum team to develop intuitive features that align with the product roadmap.You will lead small to mid-sized development projects, involving breaking down projects into tasks, writing technical designs, providing clear directions, offering support and mentorship to engineers, writing test plans, and establishing measurable goals.You will directly contribute to our software by writing high-quality code.You will work closely with the design team to implement solutions that are easy to use, intuitive, and meet accessibility standards.You will actively promote quality through regular code reviews and the creation of appropriate tests.You will help identify and overcome areas of improvement in the codebase, as well as identify technical or product opportunities.You will bring full-stack technical expertise to the engineering team, providing valuable insights to inform technical decisions.You will own one or more functional spaces as a subject matter expert (SME) and play a key role in training others in these areas.
