The Warehouse Associate will manage the warehouse operations and staff as well as participate in a variety of general warehouse activities including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Order Filling, Merchandise Handling, Packing and Processing, Fulfillment and Warehousing.
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipmentEstablish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouseSet warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leadsMonitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employeesLoading and unloading materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, or trucksAssisting with inventory cycle-countingNegotiate tariffs/rates with shipper and LTL freight companiesDetermines best price and method of shipment to meet customer deadlinesPrepares packing lists and shippersReceives shipments - Inspects and verifies incoming shipments against purchase ordersProcesses shipping damage claims.Contacts transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.Handles customer pick-ups.May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goodsMaintains internal record-keeping systemsBuilds, assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructionsPicks up materials as neededKnows safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materialsTakes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves or shop floor. Ensures area is secure at all times.Keep a safe & clean work environment: keeping shelves, pallet areas, floors, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and wipe down when and where necessary. Maintaining or advising when equipment needs special attention.Ensures safety procedures are being followedConducts Quality Control before products are shipped
