Emory Healthcare is where belonging meets purpose.Emory Orthopedics & Spine Center at Stonecrest has an opportunity for an Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) working with an Orthopedic Trauma surgeon.In this role, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 + years of Orthopedic experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. The Orthopedic APP will 1st Assist in the OR 2 days a week and run independent clinic 2.5 days per week. There will be some inpatient rounding responsibilities in this position.1st Assist time in the OR will be split between Emory Hillandale and Emory Decatur Hospitals.Our APP's are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. Description:Emory Orthopedics & Spine Center is recruiting an experienced Orthopedic APP for an opportunity to work with Orthopedic Trauma cases. The position is open to APP's with a minimum of 1 year of Orthopedic and 1st Assist experience as a PA or an Acute Care NP.Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).Position Responsibilities:Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
