We design and build software that implements security features into the internal Apple systems that can affect the software that is shipped to Apple’s customers. In addition to writing software, we perform security analysis on these internal systems to assess threats and security risks. Ultimately, our mission is to protect the security and privacy for our customers’ 1B+ devices. Here are examples of the kinds of projects you will be working on with us:Implement an identity-aware access proxy for internal service to service communicationEvangelize and drive the adoption of these technologies across the organizationBuild tools and integrations for 10k developers to easily sign code and code reviewsKey QualificationsWell-suited candidates should be able to demonstrate many of the following:Excellent skills in Python, Java, or GoExperienced with high-availability operations management, including deployment automation and rollback strategiesExperienced with building cloud services and distributed systemsFamiliarity with security architecture design and reviewEffective communication of complex technical conceptsTrack record of shipping customer-facing services or productsRequirement for on-call rotation, which may include weekendsEducation & ExperienceBachelors or Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Security or a related field, or equivalent experience.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
