The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Community Partnerships & Investments (CPI) Grants and Compliance Manager leads and supports efforts to implement the strategic investment and partnership strategy and advance WWP's mission and vision. This grant-auditor, management role provides subject matter expertise throughout the grantmaking lifecycle in proposal development, program evaluation, grant compliance, return on investment, and maintaining standards of performance. The CPI Grants and Compliance Manager oversees the implementation and management of the impact evaluation strategy to ensure that the most responsible investments and outcomes are reached, and grantee accountability measures are set in place. The CPI Grants and Compliance Manager's efforts build and strengthen internal relationships across the organization, as well as relationships with new and existing partners, military service organizations, veterans service organizations, and similar organizations serving wounded warriors and their families.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide leadership and day-to-day guidance to the CPI Grants Compliance and Reporting staff.Oversee the reporting and accountability initiatives among grantees- manage the internal reporting on grantee progress (e.g., annual/grant cycle reports) and return on investment.Lead reviews, analyses, and evaluations of partner contracts and serve as the organizational lead on grant compliance through social and mission due diligence.Design, oversee, and execute monitoring processes, including conducting file audits, assessments, documenting results, and analyzing data trends.Develop and mentor teammates' competencies and provide a supportive working environment.Collaborate with Community Partnerships & Investments teammates to ensure the seamless integration of all CPI initiatives across the organization.Maintain regular, high-touch communication with WWP leadership, vetting teams and WWP teammates relating to grant compliance and further advancement of CPI's mission, strategy, and goals.Serve as an expert resource for answers to questions from the organization regarding vetting, reporting, and compliance.Oversee cross-functional collaboration to ensure defined outcomes and other critical initiatives meet Community Partnership & Investments goals and objectives.Provide oversight to ensure teammates are proactively reviewing and evaluating current processes, problems, as well as brainstorming and evaluating solutions.Identify and develop improved processes to enhance the partnership experience and ensure alignment among the various WWP Teams.Oversee grant management database tracking of historical investments, grant activities, reporting, and deliverables.Manage administrative relationship of grant management software and related technology enhancements.Track, analyze, and report on emerging and vanguard efforts, trends, and opportunities in the family foundations, corporate philanthropy, and corporate responsibility sectors. Strong work ethic coupled with enthusiastic and passionate approach to one's work.Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.EXPERIENCERequirementsFive years of experience with grant-making, strategy consulting, impact investing, financing, program metrics, philanthropic capital or grants, or a combination thereof.Five years of experience leading work teams or projects to solve problems and improve processes.Three years of experience with a grant management system, preferably Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud for grantmaking.Two years of experience evaluating community impact, reporting, and partner metrics.PreferencesSeven years of experience with grant-making, strategy consulting, impact investing, financing, program metrics, philanthropic capital, or grants.Five years of leadership experience.Five years of military experience or working with military or veteran service organizations.Five years of experience working with a nonprofit organization.EDUCATIONRequirementsBachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, accounting, economics, finance, data analytics, community research or other related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.PreferencesMaster's degree in nonprofit management, business, accounting, economics, finance, data analytics, community research or other related field.CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURERequirementsValid state-issued driver's license.PreferencesNone.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSGeneral office environment; temperature controlled.Up to 15% travel.
