Position Summary :
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, provides professional human resources support in core areas of employee-labor relations, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, employee training and development, and project management. Acts as a liaison between the department and JHHS Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Labor Relations:
- Acts as a resource for Human Resources on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and grievances.
- Disseminates information on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensures compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Conducts exit interviews and provides recommendations based on data trends.
Training and Employee Development:
- Partners with Training Department and JHHS Human Resources ODT for training initiatives.
- Coordinates training opportunities and facilitates employee attendance.
Administration and Special Projects:
- Participates in HR projects and represents the department on HR-related committees.
- Maintains department reports and supports HR through IT applications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/human resources or related field.
- PHR/SPHR Certification is beneficial.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience with 3 years of generalist experience preferred.
- Healthcare/customer-focused environment experience preferred.
