As such, BRP designs and builds the software systems, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com.

As a Sr. Payment Risk Analytics Manager in BRP, you will be responsible for analyzing terabytes of data to identify specific instances of risk, broader risk trends and points of customer friction. You will develop scalable solutions for fraud prevention. In addition, you will be responsible for building a robust set of operational and business metrics and will utilize metrics to determine improvement opportunities.

Key job responsibilitiesPerform advanced analysis to proactively generate actionable insights levering massive amounts of data, Amazon's start of the art infrastructure and tools

Independently solve ambiguous business problems and design risk strategies that are not clearly defined

Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and senior business leaders, both verbally and in writing

Strategically influence cross-functional teams in solving broad problems

A day in the life1. Review instances of large organized fraud attacks and create comprehensive mitigation strategies2. Collaborate with Machine Learning, Product, Program, Legal and Operations in implementation of solutions that enhance Customer shopping experience WW3. Leverage internal tools and design dashboards to identify and report anomalous purchase behaviors4. Lead a team of analyst and investigators dedicated to identifying problems and creating a solution framework

About the teamOur team consists of Risk Analysts, Risk Managers, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers and Applied Scientist rolling under the core Buyer Risk Prevention Machine Learning Team. We evaluate instances of organized buyer fraud attacks on Amazon platform WW across various payment methods. We collaborate closely across multiple functions in order to mitigate these attacks through various short and long term solutions.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- 6+ years of experience in data analytics- Highly data driven- Able to source and analyze data to drive business strategies and decisions- Skilled with writing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL queries- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipelinesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent- Master's degree or equivalent- Experience in e-commerce / on-line companies in fraud / risk control functions- Experience in collaborating across multiple stakeholders – Program Managers, Scientists and ML team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
