Project Engineer, Ocean SystemsTriton is developing new products for the subsea and ocean environment. We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead our development teams working on subsea systems, unmanned undersea vehicles (UUVs), and offshore renewable energy.Responsibilities:Lead a project team and provide technical direction. Bring concepts from idea to prototype and take them to the field.Take ownership of project success and maintain customer relationships.Develop technology roadmaps and transition plans.Solve complex problems and manage project schedules and risks.Design, build, and test mechanical systems for the ocean environment. Integrate electrical and software systems.Perform hands-on assembly and repair of machines and prototypes.Develop high-quality CAD in Solidworks for fabrication.Conduct experiments independently.Communicate technical project progress effectively.Desired qualifications:Experience in Department of Defense or US Navy R&D.Subsea industry experience.Experience with ocean technologies and marine robotics.Structural engineering experience.Competency in CAD and basic machine shop equipment.Experience with various software tools.Experience in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.Experience writing technical proposals.Education/Experience:- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Ocean Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree is a plus.- 5+ years R&D experience.Requirements:Due to the nature of our business, interested candidates must be US Citizens.
