Position Description:

Exeter Information Technology Services is seeking an Intermediate System Administrator Support Service Specialist to support our staffing plan for the US Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer\G6 Headquarters (HQ), located at 4505 Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal (RSA), AL, provides contracting policy oversight to 100 different contracting offices and subordinate commands located world-wide. The ACC enterprise consists of over 6,200 military and civilian contracting professionals located at contracting offices across the contiguous United States (CONUS) and outside the contiguous United States (OCONUS). Information Technology (IT) services supports ACC’s global contracting mission to the warfighters through the full spectrum of military operations.

The HQ ACC’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and G6 staff provides critical mission support services designed to enable the workforce with applicable secure technology solutions that will reduce and ultimately eliminate manual business processing and generate resource cost savings and efficiencies for the ACC enterprise.

The Sr. System Administrator position involves performing system and application administration to include but not limited to; continuous monitoring and maintenance support for ACC owned systems (e.g. Surveillance/Badging systems, PADDS, Public Facing Website) to include patching, account management, continuous monitoring, system configuration, sustainment, and maintenance support. Account management will include the creation and deletion of accounts and the management of training products created by users to ensure they are made available or removed as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform system and application administration on systems/applications operating on closed/unrestricted network(s), document processes into SOP/TTP's, attend routine meetings and provide feedback on system enhancements and management

System configuration consists of providing users with permissions as needed to complete their work for badging systems at HQ ACC and ACC-RSA to ensure that the systems are compliant with current security standards and are up to date.

Works independently to ensure all systems are operational and vulnerabilities are mitigated. Set priorities and workload management and set standards for delivery of solutions by resources (personnel and material).

Provide requirements and metrics analysis for proposed upgrades/enhancements. Ability to perform patching and remediation for all supported systems.

Requires knowledge of STIGs and IAVMs remediation/mitigation strategies.

Report any equipment failures to appropriate USG personnel so that an external vendor may be contacted for repair as needed.

Required Skills:

The System Administrator should be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating systems, SQL server, and most recent versions of Microsoft Server as well as be able to download and apply updates as needed.

Experience with ACAS and other vulnerability tools is a plus.

Requires daily onsite support at the Customer facility and is not eligible for Remote/Telework considerations.

Five years of professional experience with respect to IT programs
