Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.Configures Linux operating systems and supports SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) and Replication Server.Installs and configures MIDB database and application software.Performs database backups and system restoration, monitors database performance, and performs troubleshooting.Interacts with users and interfacing applications.Provides hardware and software backup recovery.Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space.Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhDRequiredRequires Bachelor's degree in related field of study with 8 or more years of experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active.Linux (CentOS or RHEL).Performing snapshots, disaster recovery, performance tuning.Installation, hardening, patching.Excellent troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 communication skills.Experience developing and maintaining critical documentation (SIPs, SAGs, SOPs, Getting started guides).Full-time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible.DesiredSAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) and Replication Server.PKI certificates, SSL, service accounts.Maintaining multiple environment types (physical, virtual, cloud).Current polygraph.
