What you’ll be doing:As the Head of Engineering at SnapMagic, you will help shape our technology strategy, driving both our AI vision and broader technical initiatives. You will lead the entire engineering department and play a pivotal role in aligning technological advancements with business goals, ensuring that SnapMagic stays at the forefront of innovation.Responsibilities:Owning all the technology, including microservices, applications, APIs, databases, etc., and ensuring their optimal performanceInitially a 50/50 split between coding and management, evolving as the team expandsExecuting a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with strategic objectives and growthBuilding, leading, and mentoring the engineering teams, with a primary focus on the AI divisionOverseeing the end-to-end delivery of features and technologies, maintaining high-quality standards from design to maintenanceCollaborating with other teams within SnapMagic to ensure a unified approach to product developmentActing as the primary point of contact for SnapMagic’s technological direction, internally and externallyAbout You:A visionary leader with the ability to strategize and execute complex technological productsDemonstrated experience across various engineering disciplines with a creative approachStrong decision-making skills with a bias for actionExceptional ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarityPassion for creating user-centric products and servicesProficient in data analysis to measure KPIs, OKRs, and other software metricsEnjoys hands-on work and has experience in team recruitment and growthJob Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of leadership experienceMinimum 10 years of software development experienceHands-on experience with advanced AI models like GPT, LLAMA, BERT, or Transformer-based architectureProficiency in PythonDemonstrated success in driving impactful technological projectsExcellent communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levelsProven track record of scaling and managing engineering teams, including hiring and talent developmentHybrid role requiring 3 days a week of in-person workBonus Points:Deep understanding or background in electronicsExperience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environmentWhat We Offer:Lead role in technology with significant opportunities for impact and innovationCompetitive compensation package, including salary, equity, and bonusesComprehensive health and dental insurance401k planOpportunity to shape the future of over 1.5 million electrical engineers and the electronics design industryIf you're a visionary technologist seeking to make a substantial impact, we invite you to join our passionate team at SnapMagic!
