Position Overview

The Brand Director is responsible for growing and leading a dynamic group of creative communicators responsible for developing and driving the success of their Jazwares brands. The Brand Director maintains operational excellence across the integrated, cross-functional marketing process with the goal of creating a cohesive consumer experience that drives engagement and sales. You will act as a brand champion and manage multiple brands' eco-systems from line architecture, to profitability, to licensor relationship management. You must be an experienced strategic thinker, problem solver, motivational mentor, engaging storyteller, and collaborative leader. This critical role sets the global brand strategy, product development roadmap, develops and executes strategic goals as well as collaborates and helps drive the marketing processes for Jazwares brands. The Brand director is also responsible for the development of their team and participates in all stages of the employee life cylr.

What You Will Do:Responsible for leading and executing the global brand vision and strategyWork collaboratively with product design, packaging design, marketing, licensing, and other internal team partners to create a product that is the best fit for the brandDefine and drive the overall vision of your brands and instill it in all levels of the organization and all consumer facing touchpointsDrive innovative global brand strategies - telling the story of Jazwares brands - throughout the global organization rooted in strategic corporate objectivesSet the overall go-to-market product strategy and oversee the product planning process from concept to shelf, to ensure a powerful and successful award-winning product launch and brand presence at retailBe the category and brand expert and be able to communicate to senior management, stakeholders and partners, including licensors (if applicable)Understand and identify retailer-specific channel strategies to create diverse product lines that satisfy the evolving needs of all global markets and retail channelsPartner with cross-functional and international leads on developing and delivering globally-relevant and consumer-insight driven productAnalyze and evaluate sales data, understand the competition, and current industry trends to aid in determining brand and product strategiesFoster a positive team environment of ongoing learning, engagement, and growth through mentorship, coaching and supportConsistently follow up with brand and cross-functional teams to communicate project status, updates, issues, and opportunities to the broader organization.Evaluates the competitive landscape and industry trends to help drive strategic decisions around product development and customer executionProvide consumer, category, and competitive insights and co-develop targeted retail exclusives plans working closely with the Business Director in identifying new trends, product concepts and development opportunities.Provide timely feedback to cross functional teamsGather domestic and international field input on new and existing productsLead and participate in key account calls

What We Look For:

Prior experience in Brand management over Products, i.e. worked on a brand with core fans/fandom (Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers, etc).Bachelor's degree marketing or industry relevant field requiredMaster's degree preferred5+ year of leadership experience managing Brand Managers and Brand Associates7+ years of product development, product management, brand development, marketing, or relevant experience7+ years of experience in consumer products;Preferable experience in Boy's Action Space: Nintendo, Mario Brothers, D.C., Sonic, Marvel (Spider Man, Iron Man), D.C., Jurassic Park, WWE, DragonBallz, TransformersProficient knowledge and experience in brand profitability and proven success driving programs to meet key global financial objectivesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-SuiteKnowledge of digital rights management systemsCreative out of the box thinker that values innovationAble to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyAble to work independently or collaborativelyExceptional verbal and written communication skillsArticulate and eloquent speaking skills that can engage an audienceCan easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time while simultaneously working on multiple projects/tasks and meeting deadlinesExcellent attention to detailTrend SavvyEffective interpersonal skills, and able to build positive and productive working relationshipsLeadership skills: can train, mentor, coach, inspire, motivate, and develop othersStrong Analytical Skills with a deep understanding of tracking and measuring metricsAdvanced presentation skills including the ability to develop and deliver informative and influential presentationsEffective project management skillsEffective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issuesAbility to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environmentAbility to gain an in-depth knowledge about our brands and productsAbility to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional mannerKnowledge of product development and manufacturing processesStrong ability to use independent judgment, analyze information, and formulate recommendationsKnowledge of adobe creative suitesExperience in the toy/baby/pet/costume industryExperience in a global organizationMultilingual a plus

What we offer:

The salary range for this position is $140,000-165,000/Actual base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for annual performance incentives may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.

The benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.

The flexible work environment includes a hybrid schedule with 4 days, Fridays WFH, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, Summer Fridays, Time Off for vacation, sick leave, and volunteer work.
