Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role is a part of the Test & Flight Operations team, providing centralized support to business units with a focus on the design, build, and maintenance of the ground systems, test, and launch facilities across multiple locations.As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will apply standard engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test launch and test facility structural systems.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop accurate and detailed calculations, as well as analytical models, for structural systems composed of steel and concrete.Design innovative plans and strategies for process improvement for the design of structures.Prepare thorough reports documenting the design process, materials specifications, analysis results, and any other pertinent information.Offer consistent technical support throughout the design and construction phases of projects.Review calculations performed by others to ensure adherence to all design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil / structural engineering from an accredited institution.5-10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.Knowledge of AISC 360, ADM, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and AWS D1.1.Familiarity with analysis software packages like STAAD or Ansys Mechanical are preferred.Familiarity with FE good practices, nonlinear analysis, and the ability to generate hand calculations to validate computer output.Demonstrated experience in field evaluations, structural analysis, and design of steel and concrete structures.Strong understanding of current building codes and standards.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce detailed reports and communicate complex information effectively.Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsA Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.Advanced engineering degree
