We have offices in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.Our West Coast office is working on some of the most high profile projects in the area with some of the region's top developers. This is a great opportunity to continue to develop your project and client management expertise under the guidance of senior level management.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and Property Condition Assessments (PCA), subsurface investigations, remediation work, and/or other project assignments as appropriate.Manage Phase I/II due diligence assessments, including groundwater and soil sampling, and writing of technical reports with recommendations for remediation, as appropriateProvide oversight to field staff and subcontractors conducting site investigation and remediation projectsEnsure that project deliverables, milestones, and budgetsare metWork closely with senior managers in the coordination of work activities to meetmilestones, budgetary limits, deadlines, or other performance indicators.Prepare, review, andsubmit final reports in accordance with regulations, applicable guidance and policies, and internal quality control standardsBS in Geology, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field (Masters a plus)Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensed strongly preferred5+ years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, contaminated site characterization investigations (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air), and implementation of remediation programsExperience with strategic soils management and remediation as part of site redevelopment and building construction preferredExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to successfully execute and prioritize multiple complex tasks simultaneously under various conditionsDemonstrated ability to manage projects on-time and within budgetProficiency using MS Office Suite. Familiarity with AutoCAD, TurboCAD, and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs a plus.Physical requirements include ability to walk job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain, climbing of ladders to access and evaluate roofing conditions and roof mounted equipment when conducting PCA projects, and carry field testing equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites with regularity.The target hiring salary range for a candidate with the experience listed above is from $85,000 - $140,250.This role can be remote for candidates residing in California.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.VERTEX offers a solid total compensation package including base salary and discretionary bonus plan.
