Your principal duties will include the following:Trademark portfolio managementPatent and copyright portfolio managementManagement of our entire intellectual property and global domain-name portfolio, including international matters with foreign associatesStrategic advice to our executive management teamCounseling our highly experienced technology, advertising & and innovation teams on all intellectual property, licensing, branding, marketing, labeling, and enforcement matters.Ownership of brand protection and expansionReview all marketing and consumer-facing materials for advertising compliance issues.Managing attorney invoices for outside counselBuilds and maintains relationships with outside counselCollaborate with outside attorneys handling IP-related litigationsDraft, review and negotiate large brand partnership contractsManaging the legal aspect of the company's domestic and international domain strategyOwning and managing the Privacy policies and complianceAssist the executive management team as needed on various other projects that arise from time to time, including, but not limited to, contract drafting and review, internal and external compliance review, litigation assistance, etc.Requirements5+ years of experience in US and international intellectual property law with primary emphasis on domestic and international trademark and copyright application prosecution and responding to USPTO examiner and other actions. (Experience with UDRP and patents are a plus but not required.)Significant experience at a respected law firm or corporate in-house department handling intellectual property portfolio management, including, but not limited to, conducting clearances, registrations, and drafting cease and desist letters.Experience with consumer protection laws such as, but not limited to, CCPA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and FTCA.Strong academic credentials.Strong conversational, negotiation, and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple matters at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.Self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and in a group environment.Highest personal standards of excellence integrity and professional maturity.A practical, hands-on approach to handling legal matters.You bring a team mentality as you will be required to assist the executive management team as needed on various other projects that arise from time to time, including, but not limited to, contract drafting and review, internal and external compliance review, litigation assistance, etc.What We Offer:Competitive Salary and Benefit plansHealthcare Plan including health/dental/vision insurance401K PlanSection 125 Flexible Spending AccountLife InsuranceShort- and Long-Term DisabilityPaid time offPaid holidaysWe are proud to be an EEO/AA employer.
