C/C++, Embedded Software, MCU, Processor Architecture, SoC, SPI, I2C, CAN-FDThe Digital Embedded Solutions Team seeks an embedded system/software test expert who has deep knowledge and experience on MCU and complex SoC architectures, and who has hands-on test/coding experience on that context. Eligible candidate will support the Software & Security Group in developing tests and test strategies/automations for the driver, firmware, and embedded applications of ADI’s cutting-edge complex SoCs for the Digital Embedded Solutions Team at ADI’s Istanbul Bilisim Vadisi – Vadi Istanbul Office.Job Description:Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and software components.Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.Collaborate with the digital and software teams’ architects, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of testing processes into the overall project lifecycle.Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and code inspections to provide testing insights and ensure testability.Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and quality assessments to senior management and stakeholders.Oversee the design, development, and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test automation frameworks.Ensure thorough testing of embedded systems, including functional, performance, reliability, and regression testing.Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification of fixes.Utilize test management tools and techniques to monitor progress, report on testing activities, and ensure quality standards are met.Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems testing.Drive innovation in testing practices, including the adoption of new tools, techniques, and automation solutions.Be an excellent communicator and team player.Be able to independently operate in a global, diverse development community across many geographical locations.Exhibit professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.Education / Experience:BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of industry experience.Skills / Qualifications:Experience with developing firmware and software for heterogeneous SoC architectures.Experience in board bring-up, and comfortable with debugging hardware and software using IDE and JTAG/SWD debuggers.Good understanding of real-time operating systems.Proficient in Python and C programming with best engineering and software test practices.Experience with standard communication interfaces and protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and USB.Experience with communication protocols analysis tools.Experience with automated test frameworks.Familiar with the Linux environment.Familiar with virtual test platforms, testing on emulated systems, and remote platforms.Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as GDB, JLink, OpenOCD, etc.Familiar with CI/CD and industry-standard tools such as Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, etc.Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.Nice To Have:Familiar with network protocols and stacks such as IP, TCP/UDP, and Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols.Knowledge of Bash and PowerShell scripting.Comfortable with reading board schematics.Experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.Why You Will Like Working At ADI:We place great value on individual judgment.We allow our employees the freedom to explore new ideas and the autonomy to determine how to best achieve business goals and objectives.We emphasize professional development and mentoring.Above all, we recognize that the personal goals of our employees and the company’s goals are closely related and must support each other.Pay Rate Type:
