The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time
Legal Center Director
to provide executive level strategic leadership to Legal Center Staff, oversee the activities of the Legal Center, and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Program Officer, and Chief Executive Officer to direct the operations and strategic vision of the Legal Center.
The YWCA's Legal Center provides civil legal services and representation to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
This position will:
Distribute and manage the caseload of project attorneys in alignment with grant goals and objectives.Effectively manage federal and state-level grants and grant activities, including project activities, data collection, and reporting.Provide professional development opportunities for Legal Center staff.Collaborate with the COO and CPO for the sustainability, growth, and overall program implementation of Legal Center services.Work with Human Resources to recruit, hire, and have a succession plan for Legal Center staff, ensuring that programs are properly staffed and grant activities conducted.Develop and maintain a network of pro bono attorneys to support the Legal Center.Develop and implement processes, procedures, and best practices that promote consistent expectations for performance among staff and effective grant management.Provide oversight of all program records including client records, statistical data, and other program-related documents to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and accurate grant management/reporting.Provide community outreach and training on domestic/sexual violence issues in collaboration with the YWCA’s Violence Intervention & Prevention Department.Identify and support the development of grant resource funding.Oversee the administrative functions of the Legal Center, ensuring compliance with all funding contracts and applicable local, state, and federal standards and regulations.Carry a caseload of legal cases for legal services and/or representation as needed.Work effectively as part of the YWCA team to accomplish the vision, mission, and values of the organization, including developing and maintaining positive relations with other YWCA programs, government agencies, human service providers, law enforcement, and other entities that interface with the YWCA Greater Harrisburg.

Position Requirements:
Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Pennsylvania or ability to secure admission to practice before Pennsylvania courts.Prior leadership experience including the management of staff and programs.A minimum of 3 years’ experience concentrated in family law.Current FBI, criminal, and child abuse clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain.
