About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our fast-growing startup. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality software products. You will work alongside product managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of features while guiding a team of enthusiastic software engineers. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing software development teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:
Mentor and develop a team of software engineers by fostering career development, offering guidance and support
Grow our team of engineers by participating in interviews, guiding candidate discussions and maintaining hiring funnels
Collaborate with tech leads, product managers, and designers to ensure alignment, define project scope and requirements
Manage project timelines by setting and meeting goals while delivering quality products
Participate in engineering design discussions and provide technical guidance to the team
Contribute to the development of engineering processes and best practices to improve team productivity and satisfaction
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of experience
managing and building high performing software engineering teams in an Agile environment
Strong technical background, with experience in software engineering, architecture, and design
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
High empathy and experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, finding compromises when necessary
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and driving results
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Strong proficiency in at least one backend application framework such as Django or Flask and experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience working with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred
