Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum and Cultural Center, Bumthang.The Museum Technology Manager oversees the museum's IT infrastructure, including gallery interfaces, audiovisual equipment, electronic and IT systems, servers, and cloud-based solutions to enhance visitor experiences and staff productivity.Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and network systems.Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services.Manage IT assets, including procurement and inventory.

Gallery Interfaces and Audiovisual Equipment

Manage technology used in galleries, multimedia exhibits, and audio guides.Ensure proper functioning of audiovisual equipment.Collaborate with curators and designers to integrate technology into exhibitions.

Cloud-Based Solutions and Software Systems

Administer cloud-based systems and software.Manage software licenses, updates, and subscriptions.Support enterprise applications like ticketing systems.

Server and Network Management

Oversee servers and ensure network security.Conduct backups and disaster recovery planning.

Website and Social Media Management

Manage and update the museum's website.Integrate social media platforms with the digital strategy.Ensure website security and performance.

Graphic Design and Multimedia Production

Create and manage digital graphics and multimedia content.Ensure technical compatibility and optimal display of digital assets.

Security and Data Protection

Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.Conduct security audits and risk assessments.

Administrative and Other Responsibilities

Manage IT projects.Provide technical expertise for procurement.Collaborate with departments to provide IT solutions.Communicate IT policies and updates to staff.Provide IT and audiovisual support for museum functions.

User Support and Training

Provide technical support to staff.Develop training programs.Maintain an IT helpdesk system.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum 7 years' experience in IT management.Essential Professional Skills & Knowledge

Strong IT infrastructure knowledge.Experience in digital strategy and audiovisual technologies.Knowledge of data protection regulations.Fluent in at least one programming language.Familiarity with multiple operating systems.Ability to update code for exhibits and integrate new systems.Experience in special effects technology or robotics is a plus.Attitude and Key Competencies
