Job Summary
We are looking for a
Systems Administration Specialist II/III.
In this role, you will use enterprise Linux expertise to support enterprise Linux systems in a classified environment. You will support aerospace engineering staff using these systems to perform scientific and engineering analyses that support critical national space assets. To excel in this role, you would be familiar with Linux provisioning, troubleshooting, patching, security hardening, and user support performed in a classified environment.

This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work.
What You'll Be Doing
Install CentOS Linux on physical systems, including implementing encryption-at-rest (LUKS)Provision CentOS Linux VMsPatch, reboot, and troubleshoot patching processes, e.g. GPU drivers & kernel modulesSystem and user data and configuration backup and restoreProvide enterprise Linux troubleshooting, tier 1 and 2 Linux user supportSupport scientists and engineers running workloads and applications on Linux systemsSecurity harden systems and remediate vulnerabilitiesWrite or improve documentation for processes and proceduresWhat You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for
Systems Administration Specialist II :
DoD approved 8570 baseline certification such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent1 year of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS Linux systems administration, including provisioning, patching individual systems, basic troubleshooting, and implement security hardening for enterprise environments.Experience with hardware troubleshooting and configurationThis position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.This position requires a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph.In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for

include:
Current Security+ or CISSP certification or equivalent (required for classified environments)3 years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS Linux systems administration, including provisioning, fleet-wide patching, more advanced troubleshooting, and troubleshooting issues caused by security hardening for enterprise environments.Experience with hardware troubleshooting and configurationOne or more from below: certification such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator, bash or shell scripting skill, experience configuring and managing access to NFS file system shares, active directory integration with RHEL/CentOS, linux performance tuning, Puppet or Ansible experience.Leadership Competencies
