MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN NEEDED PRN DAYS OR NIGHTSApollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art Inpatient facility conveniently located at 9938 Airline Highway and our new Outpatient facility located at 615 Chevelle Ct.Job Responsibilities:Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned task with the outpatient programsDocuments patient's observed behavior, vital signs, significant occurrences, departure from hospital, and observation findings of patients as requested by nurseAssist nurse with patient care tasks and the nurse or activity director with therapeutic interventionsFlexible with work schedule when necessary to provide coverageAssists with coordination of distributing lunches, cleaning the kitchen after lunch and attending to the patients' needs during lunchProvide care and assist patients in daily living activities including but not limited to diaper change, cleaning, bathing and feedingOversees the cleanliness of the facilitySkills Needed:Ability to work under close supervision with distractions/demanding patients and follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyGood physical and mental health as evidenced by warm empathic attitudeRespect for the dignity, worth, and potentiality of each person and a high sense of personal integrityMust be able to stand on feet for long intervals and ability to life a patient in order to provide care according to the essential job functionEducation/Experience/License required:At least One year mental health experience preferred but not requiredMust have CPR certificationMaintain CPI certificationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentTo apply, please visit or visit the careers page on our website Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital provides a competitive salary; Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance; Other optional employer-provided benefits (i.e., Critical Illness); 401(k) retirement plan and profit-sharing plan; Holidays, PTO and a sensitivity towards Employee Work/Life balance.
