As the Supervisor - Operations, you will supervise one or more departments within a warehouse operation including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of the warehouse. You will report directly to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations. You will train, coach and council associates. You will have at least 2 or more direct reports. You will comply with operational, audit, safety, and all other company policies. You will focus on meeting customer requirements. You will contribute to the development of processes and procedures.Responsibilities:Coordinates employee work assignments to achieve inbound and outbound service requirementsMonitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure all incoming and outgoing products meet established standards and specifications, reducing errors and maintaining high customer satisfaction.Directs achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safetyMonitors workflow, work completed, error rates and related metrics and takes corrective actionEnsures procedures are observed, implemented, and enforcedEnsures quality and inspection process is accurate and excess costs are eliminatedEnsures safe working environment and follows safety regulationsEnsures accurate time, attendance, and performance management records are maintainedMaintains positive employee relations and moraleRecommends performance management actionsAssists in developing and documenting warehouse processesEstablishes and monitors performance standards for warehouse functions, including pick, pack, and shipProcesses returned merchandiseEstablishes and monitors performance standards for equipment, assembly, housekeeping, etc.Develops and implements training certification programs and ensures warehouse employees receive trainingOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Degree or Equivalent requiredFork Lift Certification preferred2+ years warehouse and distribution operations experience1 year experience leading warehouse associatesAbility to operate a forklift or have the ability to obtain a forklift certificationStrong knowledge of inventory control processesKnowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical productsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong time management skillsBasic computer skillsAttention to detailAbility to learn and use business planning systemsAbility to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructionsAbility to remain calm and resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situationsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to operate hand and power tools and equipmentAbility to adapt to changing situations and to perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to anticipate and prepare for customer needPhysical Expectations:Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.Work may require excessive bending or stooping.Employee required to climb ladders.Employee required to use hand tools.Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).
