Primary Responsibilities
We are seeking a Project Manager experienced in managing day-to-day environmental projects, which include development of scopes of work and associated cost estimates; ensuring that each project is performed according to established objectives, standards, policies, and procedures; and implementing projects in conformance with the approved scope of work and budget. This role will serve as a reliable technical resource, with added responsibilities to train, develop, and mentor field/staff personnel. Our Group is laser focused on delivering high quality technical services that meet the client's needs and exceed their expectations.
Well qualified candidates will have a minimum of 6 - 10 years of professional experience with effective execution/management of projects involving:Site Investigations associated with the Illinois EPA's environmental programs;Phase I/II ESAs;Environmental monitoring and statistical analysis associated with RCRA Solid and Hazardous Waste regulations;Risk-Based Corrective Action and environmental remediation;Technical verbal/written communications with regulators;Regulatory reporting including development of workplans and preparation of site investigation reports, remedial/corrective action plans, and remedial/corrective action completion reports; andUST closures.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geological Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Masters preferred;LPG or EIT in the State of Illinois, PE preferred;Proficient understanding of the Illinois EPA's SRP, LUST Program, and TACO (including risk assessments/modeling);Proficient understanding of RCRA Subtitle C and D permitting and groundwater monitoring regulations;Experience with preparation of proposals including development of project scopes of work, budgets, and schedules;Strong written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, managers, regulators, and clients;Effective project leadership skills and coordination of project teams;Strong schedule and budget management skills;Strong technical writing skills;40-Hour HAZWOPER Certified, preferred; andStrong understanding and advocate of health and safety protocols.
The qualified person would manage the day-to-day environmental project tasks associated with the above-listed activities in accordance with the applicable standards and regulatory requirements. These project management activities would include effective delegation of responsibilities and assignment of tasks. In addition, the qualified person is expected to strive to meet individual performance and business development goals including revenue and profit goals. The qualified person will work in a team environment with senior technical staff providing support.
