Traveler will automatically be declined.**Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.Be part of something remarkableThis unit provides excellent experience with airway management and other for RNs who may want to work in the critical care setting in the future.We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide inpatient dialysis in contracted health care organizations and to work in UW Health's outpatient setting.Bring your readiness to learn about kidney failure and hemodialysis as a valued member of our teamEnjoy a dynamic environment where no two days are alikeBe invigorated by the impact you make in a short amount of time for patients and familiesCollaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, dietitians, social workers, case managers and techniciansTeach patients about kidney disease and dialysis treatment optionsParticipate in process improvement and quality initiativesBe part of an organization that always strives to do the best for its patientsWork in a position that offers autonomy and growthMinimum Requirements:Facility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, *** portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).Experience:Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis (PD), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), ICU or Med/Surg experience required.Must have experience with adults and pediatric patient population.Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.BLS & ACLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYMust have Valid driver's license and current car insurance.ReferenceNeeds 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).TelemetryTraveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.FloatingTravelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.Location: University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Position Urgency:Quick Start

Shifts:40 hrs/week, Day/Night, 8/10/12, Starting time depending on operational needs. ***This position will work mostly Nights. May have on-call, occasional night shift rotation. every other weekends.
