The project is to be managed and administered in compliance with company policies and procedures and Rudolph and Sletten’s Core Values (client-focused, integrity, passion for building, quality, safety, service, technology-driven). Knowledge bases include technical and operational knowledge of building construction, R&S corporate policies and procedures, general leadership, administrative, and execution skill sets. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, core values, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Enhanced participation and understanding of the preconstruction process and its integration into constructionParticipate with the Preconstruction team in estimate preparation, review, and subcontractor post-bid meetingsEffectively manage job set-up process while following company proceduresAssemble team and clearly establish team member roles and responsibilitiesFacilitate kickoff meetings where project procedures are reviewed and agreed upon by R&S, owner, and design teamAssemble project closeout plan and schedule for completion immediately following construction completion, including turnover packages, training, and subcontractor and R&S contract closeoutCreate and lead a jobsite culture that prioritizes safetyHave thorough knowledge of R&S Safety Manuals, including the Environmental Health and Safety Program (ESHP), Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), and SIP ProgramEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriateResponsible for the financial health and success of the projectSupport Corporate Finance objectives by abiding by procedures and providing accurate project financial reportsEstablish project original budget set-up after a thorough understanding of the Owner Agreement requirements and monthly payment application requirementsUnderstand and own original project budgets and the intent of individual budget lines, and verify/agree on the use of the budgets in the forecastTrack subcontractor outstanding potential change orders monthly and manage the project team timely processing of subcontractor change ordersLead the project team in developing and maintaining the project master scheduleAbility to complete a thorough review of the schedule including critical path, sequencing, relationships, durations, and float timeEnhanced understanding of scheduling software platforms such as Primavera P6Ability to fully implement and facilitate the Last Planner System (LPS)Establish and implement a Quality Management Protocol that aligns with the Owner contractOversee and manage the submittal and coordination processOversee and manage successful project BIM management planEnhanced ability to resolve field quality issues with the owner, architect, and subcontractorsAdvanced understanding of executed Owner agreement requirements, terms, and limitationsKeep Owner agreement/requirements aligned with subcontract agreementsAdvanced understanding of regional labor agreements and interpretation of Project Labor Agreement (PLA), if requiredEstablish and actively maintain business development relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, consultants, and others while building a network for future business contactsParticipate with the regional office on active business development activities and project pursuits when askedPromote a positive work environmentDevelop a relationship with team members, establish leadership and assignment of team member responsibilitiesMotivate people to perform effectively and encourage cooperation, communication, and collaborationAbility to lead a project team through challenging situations successfullyAbility to identify and help fill a role within a project as project conditions requireEffectively train and mentor Project Managers and Sr. Project Engineers in project financials and managementProvides leadership and participates in regional meetings, Safety Dinner events, Career Path Training, and group activitiesDemonstrates ability to be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough in day-to-day tasksAnalyzes and resolves complex construction process problems and issues and effectively communicates while interfacing with all levels of personnelAbility to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsPerforms work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilitiesExercises creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time frameHandles a varied workload and multiple priorities while working as a team with coworkers to accomplish company and project goalsPerforms additional duties as assigned by supervisorREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field is desired; a combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degreeMinimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the field or in a related area requiredWork experience in all disciplines of construction (civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) preferredExperience with large commercial projects; healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology is desired.Ability to prioritize requests and manage complex projects to meet target delivery datesAbility to anticipate potential challenges before they become problemsStrong judgment in addressing technical issues and effectively managing and leading a teamAbility to organize and collaborate on efforts to resolve problems or issues promptlyIntermediate knowledge/proficiency of MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills in particular)Intermediate understanding of Procore construction software is preferredExpected annual salary range for this job is $170,000 - $220,000 depending on experienceRudolph & Sletten
