A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Energy Transition Transactional Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial transactional experience in energy transition projects, focusing on emerging technologies such as hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable fuels, lithium extraction, as well as traditional renewable energy projects.Duties and Responsibilities:

Represent clients in complex transactional and project development matters related to energy transition projects.Advise on mergers and acquisitions, land purchase agreements, offtake agreements (including power purchase agreements), pore space leases, hydrogen purchase agreements, lithium extraction leases, joint venture agreements, and LLC agreements.Negotiate and draft project documents such as EPC contracts, BOP contracts, equipment supply agreements, procurement agreements, and O&M agreements.Provide legal counsel to clients transitioning from traditional upstream and midstream oil and gas projects into the energy transition sector.Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare legal opinions as necessary.Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.Active membership in the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) in which the candidate is located and in good standing.3-6 years of relevant experience in transactional law, preferably with a focus on energy transition projects.Strong negotiation, drafting, and project management skills.Experience with renewable energy projects and emerging energy technologies (hydrogen, carbon capture, etc.) preferred.Education and Certifications:

JD from an ABA-approved law school.Admission to and active membership in the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) in which the candidate practices law.Skills:

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Proficiency in negotiating and drafting complex transactional documents.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.Benefits:
