The E Product Line performs cutting-edge microelectronics research in its Science & Technology area and delivers advanced microelectronic products in its four Development & Production areas that advance mission capabilities across commercial and defense applications. We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Microelectronics (E) product line to lead our Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) Product Area. Reporting directly to the E Product Line Director, the MMIC Product Area Director will develop and deliver custom microelectronics products that provide unparalleled performance and capabilities for the warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a very talented cross-functional E workforce to achieve business success via strategy development and portfolio execution. The E Product Line is accountable to capture or identify, create, and deliver discriminating technology & products and effective customer relations, both external and internal to BAE Systems. The MMIC Product Area Director will lead a portfolio, with P&L accountability, of product development and production of custom MMICs.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the MMIC and Power Amplifier design Product Area program teams through all phases of the lifecycle with profit & loss accountability
Manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes a projects or collection of projects. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives. Participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company. Models and demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
Provide proactive cross function leadership of a key strategic portfolio to achieve customer commitments and business growth expectations.
Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio, leading by example to deliver program performance excellence and quality microelectronics products in volume.
Key leadership role in developing microelectronics ecosystem within the Electronic Systems Sector
Execute using Earned Value Management techniques and other analytical industry best practices
Communicate effectively and work cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results.
Actively develop and execute a strategy to support the MMIC integrated business and technology growth plan, including partnering with internal foundry to support strategy and execution.
Lead through inspiration and encouragement and foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement on the program team to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable outcomes.
Serve as a member of the E Leadership Team, actively partnering with other team members to drive innovative and consistent strategy across the product line.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
12 years work experience with Bachelor s degree and/or equivalent experience of experience in program or capture management and/or with functional activities related to the program lifecycle, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years work experience in microelectronics custom IC product development and production delivery
Demonstrated experience in building customer and supplier relationships, leading customer interactions and discussions of a technical and/or strategic nature.
Ability to understand customers needs and objectives
Ability to lead complex teams that are distributed across geographic locations in a borderless fashion.
Financial management expertise and experience executing to revenue and profit targets
Personnel leadership and management of a diverse, cross functional team
The ability to develop creative solutions to highly complex problems
Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate across the Electronics Systems sector
Ability to obtain DOD Secret with SAP Security clearances
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Active US Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Proven breadth of business leadership of custom IC product development lifecycle; from conception through sustainment.
Experience leading and partnering with custom foundry operations and capabilities

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $164000 - $278800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
