Construction Defect Associate Attorney

A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a dedicated Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in handling construction defect cases and providing legal support to clients in this specialized area of law.Duties:Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to construction defect cases.Assist in drafting various legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations.Represent clients in mediation sessions, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings.Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy development.Review and analyze construction contracts, building codes, and other relevant documents.Conduct site inspections and investigations about construction defect claims.Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in the litigation process.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the State Bar of California.1-6 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on construction defect litigation.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Familiarity with construction law and building codes is advantageous.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the State Bar of California.Skills:Proficient legal research and writing abilities.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Contributions to health and dental plans.
