The Business Development Manager will implement the marketing and business development plans of the firm focusing on health care provider relationships, attorney relationships, associations, and local events for our Bellingham, Burlington, Marysville, and Wenatchee offices.

This role requires a leader who is passionate about advocacy work, can work independently with a high level of professionalism, and has the skills to lead others in the business development process. They will be a partner to the attorneys and referral sources of the firm and, thrive on making connections.

This full-time position requires daytime travel within Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties, and quarterly overnight travel to Chelan, Douglas, and Yakima counties. It is expected, to achieve success in this role, that the Business Development Manager will spend up to 80% of the time in the communities where we serve with limited in-office time. Office hours can be completed at our locations in Burlington, Bellingham, or Marysville, Washington.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as an ambassador of GLP Attorneys in the local communities served by our North and Central Washington attorney teams including Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, Island, Chelan, Douglas, and Yakima counties.Identify, create, and maintain health care provider relationships through direct marketing and business development efforts.Collaborate with the marketing and business development team to create innovative ways to increase relationships and sources of new clients.Monitor current marketing and business development initiatives in assigned territory and develop ways to improve those campaigns.Manage local events in territory, including, but not limited to marketing promotional efforts, communications, attendance, hosting, and materials.Manage territory contacts and mailing lists.Attend association meetings, conventions, conferences, trade shows, and events as assigned.Work in a collaborate environment, while providing continuous support to the executive director of marketing and business development and regional leadership.Job Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales is preferred.A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a related field of study (marketing, communications, business administration) is considered an asset.Experience working in the professional service industry preferred, personal injury law experience is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, including well-developed public speaking skills.Proven ability to network with community resources, build relationships, and create community partnerships.Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required.Ability and willingness to travel year-round.Valid Washington State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

GLP Attorneys determines the compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay. The exempt salary range for this position in North Washington is $68,000 to $78,000/year.

GLP Attorneys proudly offers a competitive total rewards package. In addition to the base rate and bonuses, the firm provides employees with vision, dental, medical/rx insurance (with the option to open a health savings account), life insurance, a firm-sponsored employee assistance program, and a 401(k)-retirement plan with a discretionary safe harbor and profit-sharing feature. GLP Attorneys sponsors 100% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the HSA preferred medical plan ($3k deductible), 75% for the base plan ($1k deductible), and 75% for the buy-up plan ($750 deductible). The firm sponsors 25% of all medical dependent coverage. GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the vision plan and 25% for those enrolled on a dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
