MarketingGeneration Tux is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. If you're passionate about leveraging data to shape business outcomes and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!RESPONSIBILITIESPoint person for reporting and dashboard needs supporting marketing, business development, and other teams as needed.Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reportsAcquire data from primary and secondary data using SQL queries and other toolsUtilize statistical analysis and data visualization tools to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets, and present actionable insights to senior leadershipWork proactively with engineering to improve data infrastructure and fidelity to support company growthCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and IT, to gather data and insights into business performance and customer behaviorSupport the design and execution of A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of new features, marketing campaigns, and operational workflows.Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the e-commerce and retail sectors, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and differentiationWork with leadership to prioritize business and information needs by building self-serve reports to provide leverage to management and executive teamsREQUIREMENTSProven working experience of 3+ years as a data analyst or business data analystTechnical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniquesStrong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Metabase, etc), databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc)3+ years of experience and demonstrated expertise working with and writing queries against MySQL and Postgres databasesProficiency in other data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, Python, R, Metabase, Mode Analytics, LookerKnowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is desirableAdept at report writing and clearly communicating findings and insightsBS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or Statistics or 3+ years of proven work experience
