Job Description : Our client is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer. This role demands proficiency in implementing automation solutions with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement innovative automation solutions and design standardsConceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machineryDevelop control system architecture, select components, detail schematic diagrams, program controllers, process visualization, and implement/commission control systemsDesign, detail, and implement industrial networking systems using protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.Manage projects including execution plans, budgets, scheduling, task prioritization, financial tracking, and reportingOversee daily project operations, ensuring overall project profitabilityAct as technical lead and mentor for lower-level engineers and technicians, possibly taking on the role of Project Manager for smaller projectsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer ScienceOver 10 years of experience in automation, with significant capabilities in:PLC platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, ModiconHMI/SCADA platforms such as GE iFIX, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Inductive Automation’s Ignition, SiemensDCS platforms such as Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell PlantPAx, or similarFamiliarity with electrical schematics, including power distribution under 480VAC, control panels, and NEC referencesExperience with AutoCADLeading and mentoring engineering teamsManaging automation design and implementation projects in the Life Science industryAll phases of automation projects including conceptual design, implementation, testing, start-up, and commissioning of PCS, SCADA, and DCSStrong knowledge of S88 Batch, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, System and Software Development Life Cycles, and validationIT/OT networking, automation protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, Modbus TCP/IP), and relational databases (SQL, Oracle)Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skillsProfessional references, including one from a subordinate, a peer, and a managerMust-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science10+ years of process automation experienceMinimum of 5 years in the Life Sciences industryProficiency with Ignition, Rockwell, and relevant regulatory requirements (cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11)Experience in all phases of automation projectsKnowledge of S88 Batch, GAMP5, System and Software Development Life Cycles, and validationExperience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle) and automation protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Traditional I/O, Profibus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, Modbus TCP/IP)Nice to Have
