Worker TypeRegularSummaryJob DescriptionThe Product Marketing Manager will play a critical role in the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that drive increased product sales and customer engagement for their assigned business segment. In this role, the Product Marketing Manager will facilitate the implementation, management, and optimization of cross-channel marketing activities to support program capture efforts, go-to-market activities, and customer engagements. In addition, the Product Marketing Manager will conduct market and competitor analysis and drive messaging to support marketing activities.This person can work remotely from anywhere in the US. However travel to the Southern CA office will be required two times per year for in person meetings and collaboration.Position ResponsibilitiesLeads the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns using an appropriate combination of internal and external resources to achieve business objectivesManages internal and external contractors, vendors, logistics and budgets associated with campaigns and opportunitiesPartners with the Business Development, Program Management, and Product Line Managers (PLMs) to identify market opportunities, understand customer requirements, and assess market growth segmentsDevelops, tracks and analyzes marketing KPIs to optimize campaign effectivenessLeads the creation and implementation of external communication strategies and initiatives to deliver a cohesive marketing communications planAnalyzes customers and competitors to identify gaps/opportunities within the marketplaceCollaborates with cross functional teams of internal and external stakeholders to transform ideas into realityBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications or related is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMinimum 5 – 8 years' directly related experienceExperienced and knowledgeable in strategic product marketing concepts, processes and best practicesA proven track record in effective product storytelling with a strength in simplifying complex ideas into elegant messagingExperience collaborating with Creative teams to inspire creative visualsAbility to travel up to 15%Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects successfully and efficientlyExperienced and proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Preferred Additional SkillsAerospace & Defense industry experienceCollaborative team player with a high degree of initiative, drive, accountability, judgment, flexibility, and customer serviceExperienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization and resolves a wide range of issues in creative waysDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectivesTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work productsIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the companyFocuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interestsThe Salary Range For This Role Is$88,000 - $132,000AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
