Communications Senior Manager !The successful candidate will be a strategic and proactive communications and branding leader who will plan and execute the internal and executive communications program for Freddie Mac’s Human Resources Division. We are looking for a communications expert and thought leader who values and develops collaborative and impactful relationships across an enterprise. The successful candidate is someone who can successfully pivot between tactical and strategic communications, build and sustain strong and collaborative relationships, craft succinct and engaging key messages and communications plans, and deliver results.Our Impact

Areas of focus include:Strategic Communications Planning and Execution:

Develop a deep understanding of Freddie Mac’s mission and business, including the HR Division’s mission to attract, retain and grow talent for today and tomorrow. Lead the design and be responsible for execution of HR’s strategic communications plan and branding in alignment with corporate and division priorities and mission. Understand and proactively assess change management and communications needs. Meet fast-paced deadlines and prioritize effectively.Focus on Stakeholders:

Build and sustain strong and collaborative relationships with the HR Leadership Team and other stakeholders, including Corporate Communications and Public Relations.Executive Communications Support:

Gain an understanding of the CHRO’s “voice” and serve as a strategic thought partner to support the CHRO’s communications to employees and external engagement opportunities. Develop talking points, briefings, presentations, and strategic direction on messaging.Leadership and Development:

Lead a direct report and demonstrate a commitment to their continuous professional development. Exemplify a growth mindset and maintain subject matter expertise in best practices for strategic communications and HR trends. Develop and maintain high credibility with stakeholders and effectively influence without authority.Partner Relationship Management:

Encourage a collaborative and broad approach to engage key content owners, and holistically enhance our employee-experience centric model.Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in communications, with 3+ years of management experienceProven ability to serve as a strategic advisor, negotiate, collaborate, lead content and strategy development. Excellent writing and other communications skills, and strong networking and relationship building skills.Highly knowledgeable on emerging communication trends and user experienceKeen attention to detail, sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and discretionOutstanding ability to capture the appropriate tone and concise messaging in communicationsExcellent skills in PowerPoint, including creating concise and visually strong PowerPoint presentationsKnowledge and prior experience in HR, communications, knowledge of the housing industry and financial services preferredWork well under pressure and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues at all levels across the enterprise and influence without authorityDemonstrated experience in change management and project managementCollege degree in English, Communications, or relevant fieldAt Freddie Mac, our inclusive and diverse culture drives our success and makes us a stronger company. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $142,000 - $214,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
