Overview:
The IT Security Analyst at Cook Medical will identify, development, implement, and communicate security requirements to the IT function and Cook globally.Responsibilities:Analyze and investigate on threat actors and malicious activity in client environmentsDifferentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarmsResearch and Education on Current Threats and Detection MethodologiesAssist with troubleshooting network & system issues within SOCDocument all technical procedures and user guidesLeverage proprietary systems to develop and publish vulnerability reportsTriage and respond to security events on a 24/7 basisUtilize information technology, cybersecurity, privacy skills and experience with various IT governance and control frameworks (including NIST, COBIT, CMMI, ISO 2700x, SOC II)Implement security strategies and policies/standards in compliance with legislation and other directives including PCI, and Sarbanes-OxleyTroubleshoot issues and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of large and complex data.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related technical discipline; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable backgroundMinimum 2 years experience information security, especially in a network security analyst roleSecurity +, CEH, or SANS GIAC certifications are preferredExperience in a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Center (SOC) preferredDemonstrated proficiency with standard concepts, practices, and proceduresPhysical Requirements:Secondary on call responsibilities when assignedWorks under general office environmental conditionsRequires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferencesDomestic and International travel as requiredSitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
