Position: Speech Language Pathologist (Part-time)Compensation: $65 to $70 per hour
Expected hours: Part-time, 10 to 28 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Location: Twin Cities, Minneapolis-Saint Paul MN
Focused Staffing Group is looking for a skilled school Speech Language Pathologist to provide quality services to our students. The speech language pathologist will provide speech services in small group settings for students with disabilities who have communication needs. The speech therapist will also perform evaluations and assessments to determine the communication needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop plans to assist students with speech needs
2. Provide teachers with information to assist with developing speech and language services.
3. Teach students proper techniques for achieving more effective communication
4. Evaluate students with communication and speech concerns
5. Write IEP plans for students who receive speech services
6. Monitor student progress on their IEP communication goals
7. Complete Third-Party billing documents
8. Maintain contact and communication logs
Requirements
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
- Must have a valid state license or certification.
- Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
Skills
1. Ability to communicate with teachers, students, or family clearly.
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, and the staff.
3. Ability to progress monitor and write due process documents
