Dedicated to providing the highest quality health care services to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity and respect, and regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.Responsibilities:The NICU Physician Assistant provides primary care to neonates including premature babies who need specific care due to a diverse range of disorders and abnormalities.Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures.Taking care of the newborn in incubators.Responsible for giving acute medical care to these infants especially in the absence of the doctorConducting lumbar punctures.Insertion of intravenous lines securely.Providing guidance and information to members of the neonatal team.Provides parents on the appropriate methods via which they can care for newborn babies.Counseling doctors and patients.Provides round the clock supervision and care to infants.All other duties as required by the department.Qualifications:
NYS License as a Physician AssistantLeve III NICU experience preferredExceptional Benefits Include:Competitive compensation package
