Production Control Manager, Amazon Robotics
Amazon Robotics is seeking a Production Control Manager to develop and manage a comprehensive production control process to support high volume manufacturing and emerging products and technology. The Production Control Manager will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring on-time production, and coordinating with various departments to achieve operational efficiency and meet customer demands. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of material management processes. The role will be responsible for managing 3 contract employees.Key job responsibilities:Engineers all end-to-end Material Flows from supplier receipt to lineside delivery in order to efficiently meet production requirementsDeveloping a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to document part numbers, quantities, suppliers, storage locations, part attributes, and replenishment planEstablish visual management process for the shop floor to align with the PFEPUpdate production spreadsheets to clearly communicate the status of each job/work order and its can-build/factory clear-to-build statusCommunicate internally any known or potential issues that could affect production or shipments, confer with cross-functional teams to assess progress and discuss needed plan of action and meet schedule commitmentsCoordinate the schedule, plan, and initial staging of material/kits to all vital areas of production and testDevelop and standardize area supermarket replenishment plans to prevent overstocking and shortagesControl the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing – custodian of the cashMonitor and maintain inventory accuracy by managing cycle count programMonitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work completes on time to scheduleCreate standard operating procedures on defined work pathsActs as primary contact for matters regarding schedule execution status and can build status based on available inventoryA day in the life:Success Metrics:
