General Summary of PositionResponsible for the design and development of modifications to packaged software and/or custom solutions developed to support specific business needs. Works closely with business analysts and/or key users, assessing business needs and determining/implementing information technology solutions. Converts specifications and procedures of moderate to high complexity into application and program solutions. Writes and communicates highly complex program specifications.\rThis position has a hiring range of $93142.40 -\r$166795.20
\rPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssesses the impact of complex business changes. Applies appropriate techniques such as business process analysis and data modeling concepts to analyze and collect business and system requirements for large, complex projects.Collaborates with internal users, staff members, and information technology colleagues to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces while assessing value in modification to delivered software versus building new functionality. Translates requirements into technical design solutions.Delivers complex to highly complex technical solutions according to project timelines and budget constraints.Delivers technical information, support and training to internal customers to assist them in performing and improving their daily work processes.Develops and maintains good relationships with customers and systems colleagues to ensure successful implementations and to meet expected customer service levels.Formulates and defines application scope and objectives; devises and enhances procedures to solve business problems of a highly complex nature that cross-functional domains. Identifies conflicting system integration issues that cross-functional domains suggest alternative solutions.Monitors changes in technical architecture and tools. Applies technical architectural frameworks and design patterns to departmental projects.Participates in the release management processes to ensure that the application conforms to corporate release schedules and releases.Participates in the technical design and coding of interfaces, data conversions, reports, and customizations providing the required functionality not supplied by the package.Performs analysis, conceptual design, development (coding) and implementation of modifications to purchased applications or custom programs to enhance value to the business. Provides expert support of the development after implementation. Applies business and systems knowledge throughout the process.Prepares detailed specifications from which complex to highly complex programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents are highly complex programs.Provides technical knowledge in first-line resolution of the complex to highly complex technical problems. Provides primary and/or secondary on-call support.Works with application development staff to develop technical estimates for change requests and defect resolution based on high-level business process analysis as well as technical design.Works with staff and management to develop technical solutions to highly-complex business problems/requirements. Analyzes business requirements; designing and developing appropriate technical solutions, testing and implementing the technical solution, conducting walkthroughs, creating technical documentation, and communicating status.Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.

\rMinimum QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or, an equivalent combination of technical experience and education requiredOracle PeopleSoft training preferred
\rExperience
3-4 years 4 years of experience in application analysis, design, software development, systems implementation and package integration required andExperience with the following: people tools 8.58 or higher, people code, apppackage, fluid development, application engine, component interface, SQR, integration broker, bi publisher, cobols and workflow. Experience with the following peoplesoft v9.2 modules: general ledger, accounts payable, travel & expenses, fixed assets, projects, grants, purchasing, inventory, HR, payroll, T&L, position management, benefits and self-service. Experience with oracle and/or SQL databases. Strong in procure to pay modules. required andExperience with java and/or javascript. experience in file conversion is strongly preferred
