An FFF Enterprises strategic investment, KlearTrust is an exciting start-up specializing in software and technology services required to operationalize and support value-based healthcare agreements. KlearTrust leverages cutting edge technologies to provide end-to-end support for innovative, data driven value-based contracts.

Position Summary

The KlearTrust platform provides a real-time, event-driven environment for the acquisition and evaluation of patient data. It tracks patient state continuously, from both clinical and financial risk perspectives. It supports multiple stakeholders who collaborate to manage warranties for high-cost therapies, particularly specialty pharmaceutical products. It delivers applications, visualizations, and documents to users from pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and providers, as well as to internal service and support teams. It makes extensive use of tools and services provided by AWS, while using GitHub as its host for development, testing, and deployment. The Back-End Developer will design, build, and maintain server-side elements of the KlearTrust platform, ingesting data and responding to real-time events, providing data and services in a reliable and performant fashion to end user applications, and supporting the integration of back-end components.

Essential Functions and DutiesParticipate in architecture and design for the overall application lifecycle.Work with teammates and executives to understand the business strategy and user requirements that drive application design.Define and communicate technical and design requirements.Work with team members and third-party contractors to design, implement, and test services that integrate AWS Services, UI components, APIs, databases, and major business applications.Write back-end services and applications using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript,, Next/JS and Postgres, along with key AWS services such as Lambda and Fargate.Support the integration of elements of KlearTrust's best of breed architecture, interacting with locally-hosted and remote service providers.Test services and applications for reliability, performance, and compliance with requirements.Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.Provide training, help, and support to other team members.Conduct PR code reviews for your peers, both frontend and backend.Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.Always represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance at all times.Understand and internalize the Company's purpose, display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.Display enthusiasm and dedication to learning how to be more effective on the job and share knowledge with others.Work effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keep commitments; keep others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues; address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; address others by name, title, or other respectful identifier, and respect the diversity of our work force in actions, words, and deeds.Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by always working in a safe manner and immediately reporting any injury, safety hazard, or program violation.Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field involving systems engineering (e.g., physics, mathematics, or biostatistics), or at least four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.Required Experience:

Four (4) years' [eight (8) for non-degreed candidates] experience developing enterprise applications.Two (2) years' experience building applications in the AWS or cloud environment.Required Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).Detailed understanding of the AWS (or other cloud) environment.Understanding of web service and API implementation styles and strategies.Proficiency inserver-sidedata management techniques, including database creation, management anddebugging.Required Skills:

Demonstrated ability to build cloud-hosted applications that integrate cloud services and third-party components.Experience in delivering back-end elements that support front-end UI.Able to design efficient API's and write performant code that supports front-end requirements.Initiative and effective independent decision-making skills.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with strong problem-solving abilities.Preferred Knowledge:

Work in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or insurance industries, and understanding of technology trends, regulatory landscape, and market dynamics.Experience developing, deploying, and supporting web applications in the AWS environment.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and practices.Work in an Agile development environment.Understanding of front-end technologies such as React.Understanding of the healthcare data model from the provider and payer perspective.Understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g. HL7, FHIR) and regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA).Preferred Skills:

Proficient in Postgres design, optimization, and administration.Highly skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript development for the Node.js environment.Able to write efficient SQL for both queries and updates.Competency with middleware frameworks such as Koa or Express.Professional Certification:

Professional certifications for back-end development, cloud architecture or security is preferred.

Physical requirements

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for prolonged periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.
