Job DescriptionAWS Industry Products (AIP) is an AWS engineering organization chartered to build new AWS products by applying Amazon’s innovation mechanisms along with AWS digital technologies to real-world industry problems. We work closely with strategic customers to bring their domain expertise and our digital and innovation experience to solve industry-wide challenges on AWS.Globally, the power grid is undergoing rapid changes in demand for electricity driven by shifts to low-carbon technologies, such as electric vehicles (EV), behind-the-meter batteries, and renewable sources from solar and wind. Our team is working closely with customers to dynamically optimize power grids and better integrate cleaner renewable sources of energy to reduce carbon emissions and curb climate change.Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Software Development Engineer, you will have a huge impact on everything from the functionality we deliver for our customers to the design and architecture of our systems, to the algorithms we employ, to the culture we build. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
