Be a part of a dynamic software development group at Verisk Extreme Event Solution, contributing to the design and development of scalable analytic solutions with high performance. You are expected to work in an agile team to plan and design new features, write clean, testable, and performant code, and create automatic tests.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development of cloud-based analytical algorithms, solutions, and toolingEnhance functional capabilities and performance of existing systemAnalyze & solve difficult problems across the stackDesign and write automatic test casesMaintain and contribute to testing, CI, and DevOps infrastructureCollaborate with team membersFollow an agile development methodologyParticipate in product planning, requirements analysis, and documentation efforts

Qualifications

Strong understanding of C++/object-oriented design & programming concepts.Good understanding of memory management and performance optimizationWorking experiences with AWS technologiesEnthusiastic, Passionate, quick learner with and strong written and verbal communication skillsPossess a positive attitude and ability to multi-task, stay organized in a dynamic and collaborative teamwork environment and attitude to get thing done

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong advantage:

Distributed cloud-based applications developmentParallel computingAlgorithm design and developmentLow-level computer architectureOperating system internalsRelational database technologiesMessage-oriented communicationDeveloping Windows/Linux server-based applications using C++C++, Python, C#Docker

Education

BS Degree required in Computer Science (or equivalent) MS Degree preferred
