As a Technical VFX Artist at Snail Games, you'll play a pivotal role in creating immersive and dynamic visual effects that enhance the overall gaming experience. Working closely with our art director, game designers, and other team members, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing a wide range of VFX, including particle effects, explosions, lasers, smoke, fire, and more. Your technical expertise, creative vision, and collaborative spirit will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our games and captivating players worldwide. Responsibilities: Design and implement visually stunning and realistic VFX, including particle effects, explosions, lasers, smoke, fire, and other dynamic elements. Write and optimize shaders, scenes, and collision to achieve optimal performance and visual quality. Work in and write Blueprints, Unreal Engine's visual scripting language, to implement complex VFX systems and gameplay mechanics. Create real-time simulations and tie particle effects into dynamic events within the game world to enhance player immersion and interactivity. Collaborate with artists and other team members to create custom art assets and integrate them seamlessly into the game engine. Create holographic effects and transplant them into procedural interactive experiences to enhance gameplay and immersion. Iterate on VFX based on feedback from stakeholders, refining and evolving designs to meet artistic, thematic, and gameplay requirements. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and tools related to VFX, game development, and emerging technologies. Share knowledge and insights with the team, contribute to the continuous improvement of our VFX pipeline and workflow. Requirements: Strong portfolio showcasing technical VFX skills and creative vision. Proficiency in coding, with experience writing and optimizing shaders, scenes, and collision. Advanced skills in Unreal Engine, including Blueprints and other relevant tools. Experience creating real-time simulations and tying particle effects into dynamic events. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible with VFX. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Animation, or related field. Compensation: Salary Range: $100,500 - $125,000 per year. Exact base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
