The features we create are redefining how people use their computers and mobile devices to search. Our universal search engine powers search features across Apple products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages, and Lookup. We develop generative AI technologies based on Large Language Models to power features in Apple's devices and cloud services. As part of this group, you will work on large scale machine learning and deep learning to improve Query Understanding and Ranking of search.DescriptionAs a member of our group, you'll shape upcoming Apple products. We seek individuals with applied machine learning, NLP experience, and engineering skills in creating search and NLP services. Responsibilities include analyzing search ranking and relevance, developing Large Language Models, conducting applied research in generative AI, building machine learned models, integrating search functions into Apple products, and utilizing distributed data processing tools.Key QualificationsExperience in machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval, NLP, or data miningProficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++Good knowledge of major machine learning algorithmsStrong data analytical skillsInterpersonal skills and team playerEducation & ExperienceMS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science, or related field.Additional RequirementsNice to have:Experience with Large Scale Data-Mining and/or Machine learningExperience Web CrawlingExperience with ML and LLM model inference optimizationPay & BenefitsBase pay range: $170,700 - $300,200Apple benefits include medical, dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products, free services, educational reimbursement, stock programs, and relocation assistance.Apple is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
