As a

Business Development Manager of Fire Retardant (FR) Solutions,

you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and launching a line of new ground-breaking Fire Retardant (FR) technologies. Our goal is to build this into a +$200M business. If you have an

building businesses , this role is for you. If successful, this role is on the track to becoming a general manager, with full P&L responsibilities

Essential Functions

1.

Market Analysis and Intelligence:

• Through in-person visits with industry participants, develop a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape related to FR needs, with the goal of developing the go-to-market strategy for our new FR technologies.

2.

Voice of the Customer:

• Develop a comprehensive analysis of the customer requirements in different markets and regions.

3.

Build Business:

• Manage all stages of launching several new product lines, including:

• Manage all aspects of launching new FR technologies

• Product positioning and requirements to meet market demands

• Competitive analysis

• Develop go-to market strategy and sales channels

• Collaborate closely with Product development and R&D

• Manage testing and qualification process with third-party labs and customers

• Pricing strategy

• Manufacturing

• Sourcing and partnerships with key raw material suppliers

• Develop marketing materials for sales organization and trade publications

• Drive lobbying activities with key regulatory agencies

• Represent Avient with American Chemistry Council's (ACC) North American Flame Retardant Alliance (NAFRA)

Education and ExperienceA Bachelor's or University Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or an MBACommercial experience is requiredKnowledge of the FR market is idealExperience in managing product development from ideation to launch is idealAdditional Qualifications

Must have excellent project management skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize responsibilitiesMust be able to train and mentor othersStrong analytical skills and detail orientedMust demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independentlyMust be able to drive engagement and work across multiple functions within the organizationAbility to use Microsoft Office Products.
